To Muslims this is a serious question?

I have noticed a man who works in my local shop wear white cotton gloves is this a religion thing hes very nice and at first i thought he wore them because he had a skin condition and didnt want to ask because it was rude so because noone knows you on the internet i thought i would ask here as a safe bet im just nosey and its killing me to find out plus learning of other people religions is quite interesting
