Can you tell me the survival rate for lymphoma in ones chest?

A friend of mine recently informed me that her mother has a 9.2 Centimeter growth, (lymphoma) between her lungs, and two smaller ones on either side, they are not gonna operate they are just gonna use chemotherapy. Honestly what are her chances? how bad is this? I did my research, I know what it is how it works and its treatments, but Im still unsure.
