How to effectivley sell your clothes....?

How does it work when you take your clothes to a resale shop to sale? How much money can you make? And is there a better way to sell your stuff? I'm in a bind for cash, I can't think of a better way to make it faster, I know clothes don't sale well at garage sales, so I wanted to try this. Can anyone help? I need some advice...
